About me
Having grown up surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life, my love of animals started at a very young age, and I knew I wanted to work with animals when I got older. After I graduated from Sacramento State University and received my BS in Biology with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Child Development I was able to devote a lot more time to working with animals. Over the years I have worked with many animals in different environments. I have volunteered at the Placer SPCA Spay and Neuter Clinic, The Sacramento Zoo, worked as a Veterinary Assistant at the Sacramento SPCA, and worked as a dog walker and pet sitter for WAG. The many years of experience has taught me that each animal has it's own personality and style and I have learned how to adapt to what the animal wants and needs. I always treat all pets as if they were my own.
Its not just my job, it's my passion!
"Monique has been walking our chocolate lab, Rocky (3) times a week for over a year now. We've used dog walkers before for Rocky. From our initial meeting with Monique we liked her and so did Rocky. We really appreciate how conscientious Monique is about Rockys walks. In a year she has not missed one walk appointment and is always on time. Rocky really looks forward to his walks with Monique and knows her name and the sound of her car to begin his excited dance. Monique has also taken on working with Rocky during his walks on focus and paying attention. The goal being no pulling. "I have been using Monique's services as a dog walker for a few months now and it has been the best decision I have made! She is kind, thorough, and me and my pup love her to pieces. She takes the time to understand your dog's personal needs and is very communicative. My favorite part of the day is getting my "pup report card." She lets me know how my dog was on her walk along with a picture of my dog. It brightens my day to see my dog so happy and being taken care of with so much love! Monique is the absolute best!
